Umbrellas, Sunglasses, Jewels, Top Hats, & Disco Inferno!

Now how does all of that go together? It really doesn't....but, it did! When we left Amsterdam, Barry was sound asleep before the flight attendant did the seat belt speech! While weaving our way through the tall and dark clouds, we were doing The Bump, The Jerk, The Watusi...every dance you can think of with our sets belts on and our seats in an upright position. It was a little un-nerving....but Barry slept through the whole thing! We got to the hotel with 30 minutes to get to our privy guided walking tour of the castle and the old part of the city. Our guide had on purple tails, white pants and shoes, and a top hot! Not quite what we are used to in Mississippi! And yes, we did have some staring, pointing, and picture taking of him throughout the day. Our first stop was Rosenborg Castle. Loved, loved, loved seeing the crown jewels!!!! Barry...not so much! My enthusiasm was lost on him! However, he did like seeing all of the weaponry! After we left the castle, as fast as I would whip out my raincoat and umbrella and I would have to take it all off and dig the sunglasses out......then the cycle would repeat itself all afternoon long! We were yards away from our hotel when we ran into friend from the states that are going on this cruise with us. They having been in Europr for a few weeks were ready to rock and roll!! Us....not so much! We went to a great restaurant a few blocks away. I was thrilled that I didn't have to have smoked herring or anything like that which is a typical food here in Denmark. Deborah and Bruce are on a Jazz cruise around the canals. Yes.....Copenhagen is in the midst of their jazz festival! I keep thinking I was in the Quarter instead of Denmark! Barry is down for the count! I am signing off....hope this made sense !!
