Wanaka: Perfectly Perfect in Every Way!

Wanaka is maybe my favorite town in New Zealand! We love it! After being "startled awake" by the helicopter a few yards from our door, we had a fantastic time walking around the cute town. We had lunch outside because the weather was perfectly perfect in every way! We drove all the way up Lake Hawae and ended up back on Lake Wanaka. They are side by side, but separated by mountains. We were late getting back to a five course dinner by the well respected (and rightly so) chef at our lodge. We enjoyed the food and fellowship with other fellow travelers.
