After a work and meeting filled morning for Barry and Kurt, we boarded a TurbotJet boat with our passports and headed to Macau. I know what you are thinking....casinos! Yes, you bet they have casinos galore! I read that Macau does more business than the whole US gaming market! Many of the casinos look similar to the ones in Vegas .....but they are so much larger!!!!! HUGE! But, we came to see the old town. I didn't realize or had forgotten ....who knows? That the Portuguese settled Macau. It's only an hour turbot boat ride, but a world of difference from Hong Kong! I loved seeing all of the old buildings built by the Portuguese. It was really pretty!!!! We visited the ruins of a cathedral and the remains of a fort. We all learned a lot. For dinner, Kurt took us to an old haunt of his and BJ's called Fernando's. It was on the other side of the island on the beach. Super casual. The food was referred to as Mcinese....a mixture of Macau and Portugal, with a little Chinese thrown in. Delicious!!!! Photos to follow! Which means that I never know if the photos are going to show up before or after !!!!! Packing up!!! Surely do hate to leave!!!!
