We flew to the South Island today. I heard several things today at the airport from Air New Zealand that I have NEVER heard in the US from an airline before:
"Lovely, thank you." when I handed the boarding passes to the attendant.
"No worries!". When I asked to check an extra bag!
"We apologize for the late arrival into Wellington. For the 2 passengers that are on the flight to Nelson, we have contacted the pilot and they will wait on you!". We were late because of the long process of disembarking a handicapped lady.
And the owner of the Eden House unexpectedly met us at the airport and had us follow him to Eden House. It was a 45 minute drive each way! Peter was so very nice and thoughtful to have done that! It was a beautiful drive! Our cottage is so fabulous! And the food!!!!!! The food!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! Our dinner tonight was grand!!!
