October 30 - Houma/ Homer.....Small World!

WOW!!!!!! I just thought it was hot in that Barbie plane! We had a 6am wakeup call. We ate breakfast and were on our way before 7 on a boat for a 45 minute ride to get to the Land Rover for a game drive. We took lunch with us.......ugh! Way, way too hot to do that! We did see a lot of cool animals including a baby steenbuck that had been hidden by it's mom in the tall grasses. We couldn't see it until Bundi parted the grasses for us. So beautiful! It was great animal viewing....but we got hot and tired before noon. When we got back to camp in time for High Tea, 6 new guests had arrived. One of the gals is from Houma, Louisiana! We had a fun laugh about that! At dinner that night, I was seated next to the gal from Houma...her name is Margaret. After each asking each other all of the correct Southern questions about each others lives and our "people" we figured out that she knows my sister Ginny and my brother-in-law, Ault! They are all the same age and went to LSU together! SMALL WORLD!!!!!
